Biologist Richard Dawkins launches into a full-on appeal for atheists to make public their beliefs and to aggressively fight the incursion of religion into politics and education.
Dawkins' scornful tone drew strongly mixed reactions from the audience; some stood and applauded his courage. Others wondered whether his strident approach could do more harm than good. Dawkins went on to publish The God Delusion and become perhaps the world's best-known atheist.

He is blind to the fact the Bizarre Metamagical Beliefs at the ROOT of all Religions GodFaith ( btw created in the BRAIN) are also at the ROOT of neurological disorders like schizophrenia, TL epilepsy etc...this makes Religion a form of organized schizophrenia. In his God delusion Dawkins fails to define GOD & DELUSION, not addressing the fact Delusions of god (An imaginary friend) are created by a malfunctioning brains. Dawkins ought to get educated in the science of Neurology and understand he was created by his father's cock spitting sperm DNA into a woman's cave, initiating mutations, proving evolution.
A delusion, easily PROVEN in a neurology lab by stimulating Pulvinar nuclei, found in ALL religions & schizophrenia, makes ZombieGod that saves with blood for SIN Belief ( this is the KEY belief of Christianity) one of the schizophrenias. Ergo, a mental disorder.
Religion is organized schizophrenia. Get educated in neurology Richard so the blind folds fall from your tunnel vision affected eyes. In reality Atheism ( lacking belief in GOD CRAP aka supernatural mumbo jumbo fairy tales) means the person is SANE, rational able to tell fact from Religious Fiction BS.
Wake up Richard, and awaken other mentally healthy aka atheist that do not link GodBelief to a brain disease, that WILL, if not addressed, make our species extinct!!
Err, it is not belief in god that leads to extinction. It is unwillingness to see or accept that mental diversity leads to further mental evolution.
Schizophrenia is not a disorder either. It is a cool trick allowing what you call a sufferer to switch to a personality that can handle their current situation better. They have trouble controlling it safely because idiots keep saying there is something wrong them. Bullshit, they have an awesome power you don't understand so you try to squash it and keep it down because you are afraid of it.
Claiming your own beliefs to be sane or that your way of thinking is the only mentally healthy way while simultaneously bagging everyone else as a nut is a sure sign of your own insanity. Claiming to have mental health would be easier if you demonstrated it first.
You say imaginary friends are bad too. I wonder how many you had as a child? Test your belief, do the inner guide meditation, then tell me about delusions and imaginary friends.

And finally, atheism is just another religion. Think about it, the adherents of both promote their views by saying the other side is ignorant of facts. They both limit perception. Both sets of arguments ignore large amounts of evidence. Both parties spend more time pushing their point than trying to find common ground and clear up the misunderstandings.
Both sides forget that spirituality has nothing to do with religion, and that we have different opinions on things so that we can learn other points of view. Having another point of view does mean everyone else is wrong.
The universe is quite large, does it not make sense that several billion sets of eyes will see it from different angles? How could anyone of them be entirely correct? Even yours? Does it not make more logical sense to compile the different tiny pictures we all have into a larger one? Wouldn't that give a better understanding of the universe we inhabit?
Stop being childish.
