Cartofii se cultiva foarte usor, pot fi crescuti atat in gradina cat si in saci din plastic, ghivece, galeti sau cutii din lemn inalte. Trebuie doar sa le oferiti soare si apa.
La plantare se folosesc cartofi incoltiti pe care fie ii cumparati de la magazinele de profil, fie lasati cartofii din camara sa incolteasca si ii folositi pe aceia. Doar sa nu fie tratati. Eu cumpar de la supermarket saci de 3-5 kg de cartofi, folosesc o parte din ei, apoi pe cei care incoltesc ii pun in pamant. Plantez la 2 saptamani 3-4 cuiburi de cartofi si astfel am toata vara si pana toamna cartofi noi cu coaja subtire. Asa am procedat anul trecut, anul acesta, deoarece imi voi mari putin gradina, voi pune mai multi cartofi si poate imi raman cativa si pentru iarna.
Dar iata cum se procedeaza.
Cartofii se planteaza in gradina in luna martie, dupa ce pamantul s-a dezghetat. Acestia sunt cartofii de primavara sau noi si vor putea fi recoltati incepand cu luna iunie. Cei plantati mai tarziu, in aprilie, vor fi recoltati in iulie-august si sunt cartofi de vara, iar cei plantati in mai-iunie sunt cartofii de toamna si se recolteaza in septembrie.
Se sapa bine pamantul si se amesteca prin sapare cu ingrasamant natural. Se grebleaza si se fac la o distanta de 40-50 cm una de alta cateva gropi adanci de aproximativ 20 cm. In fiecare groapa pun 1-2 cartofi cu mugurii in sus. Se acopera gropile cu pamant usor musuroit.Se uda bine si in scrut timp veti observa plantele de cartof iesind din pamant. Atunci cand plantele cresc inalte de 15 cm, acoperiti cu pamant jumatate din tulpina, formand un musuroi. Astfel, tinuta la intuneric, planta va forma din tulpina principala alte tulpini si radacini suplimentare, iar recolta va fi mai bogata. Udati-i des.
Recoltarea cartofilor poate incepe dupa ce planta infloreste, insa atunci cartofii vor fi mici. Daca doriti sa ii lasati sa creasca mai mult, mai ales in perioada infloririi trebuie udati des. Eu, atunci cand doresc sa consum cartofi merg in gradina si scot cate un cuib de cartofi proaspeti. Restul ii las sa creasca pana cand planta se usuca de tot. Atunci ei ajung la maturitate. Puteti sa ii scoateti din pamant, sa ii lasati sa se usuce 2 ore la soare, apoi sa ii puneti la pastrare la intuneric intr-o ladita de carton, sau puteti sa ii mai lasati in pamant si sa ii scoateti cand ii folositi sau toamna.
Daca ii plantati in casa in ghivece (sau pe un balcon inchis, sera – feriti de inghet), galeti sau alte recipiente, puteti incepe planatarea cartofilor inca din ianuarie. Ghiveciul trebuie sa fie destul de mare, cu un diametru de 30-40 cm. Se pune in el pamant cam 10-15 cm, apoi se pun 3-4 cartofi incoltiti si se acopera cu pamant. Se uda si se pune ghiveciul la lumina. Atunci cand afara se incalzeste (martie), pot fi mutate ghivecele afara. In rest, se procedeaza la fel.

Examples of some common Terpenes found in Cannabis: - Borneol- menthol, camphor, pine, woody. Can be easily converted into menthol. Found in Cinnamon and Wormwood. It is considered a "calming sedative" in Chinese medicine. It is directed for fatigue, recovery from illness and stress. - Caryophyllene - spicy, sweet, woody, clove, camphor, peppery. Found in black pepper(15-25%), clove(10-20%) and cotton(15-25%). It binds weakly to CB2 receptor. As a topical it is one of the constituents of clove oil, an anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment for toothache. In high amounts, it’s a calcium and potassium ion channel blocker. As a result, it impedes the pressure exerted by heart muscles. Since THC does not have a smell, drug dogs are trained to find one, very smelly molecule called Caryophyllene-epoxide! - Cineole/Eucalyptol- spicy, camphor, refreshing, minty. Found in rosemary, eucalyptus. It is used to increase circulation, pain relief and easily crosses the blood-brain-barrier to trigger fast olfactory reaction. Eucalyptus oil is considered centering, balancing and stimulating. It is possibly the stimulating and thought provoking part of the cannabis smoke stream. - Delta3Carene- sweet, pine, cedar, woodsy, pungent. A constituent of rosemary, pine and cedar resin. In aroma therapy, cypress oil, high in D-3-carene, is used to dry excess fluids, tears, running noses, excess menstrual flow and perspiration. It may contribute to the dry eye and mouth experienced by some marijuana users. - Limonene- citrus (orange, tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit), rosemary, juniper, peppermint. Repulsive to predators. Found in the rinds of many fruits and flowers. With the presence of other certain terpenes, Limonene can be an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-depressant and anti- carcinogen. It can synergistically promote the absorption of other terpenes by quickly penetrating cell membranes. The result can be increased systolic blood pressure. Since Limonene is such a potent anti-fungal and anti-cancer agent, it is thought to protect against aspergillus fungi and carcinogens found in cannabis smoke streams! - Linolool- floral (spring flowers), lily, citrus and candied spice. Possesses anti-anxiety and sedative properties (also in lavender). - Myrcene – clove like, earthy, green-vegetative, citrus, fruity with tropical mango and minty nuances. The most prevalent terpene found in most varieties of marijuana, it is also present in high amounts in Mangos, hops, lemon grass, East Indian bay tree, verbena and Mercia. Myrcene is one of the most important chemicals used in the perfumery industry. Because of its pleasant odor, it is occasionally used directly. It’s a building block for menthol, citronella, and geraniol. It possesses antimicrobial, antiseptic, analgesic, antioxidant, anti-carcinogen, anti depressant, anti-inflammatory, and muscle relaxing effects. Myrcene affects the permeability of the cell membranes, allowing more THC to reach brain cells. - Pinene- Alpha: pine needles, rosemary Beta: dill, parsley, rosemary, basil, yarrow, rose, hops, the familiar odor associated with pine trees and their resins. It is the major component in turpentine and is found in many other plant essential oils including rosemary, sage, and eucalyptus. Pinene can increase mental focus and energy, as well as act as an expectorant, bronchodilator (the smoke seems to expand in your lungs), and topical antiseptic. It easily crosses the blood-brain barrier where it inhibits activity of acetylcholinesterase, which destroys acetylcholine, an information transfer molecule, resulting in better memory. It may counteract THC's activity, which leads to low acetylcholine levels. Largely due to the presence of pinene, rosemary and sage are both considered "memory plants." Concoctions made from their leaves have been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine to retain and restore memory. - Pulegone- mint, camphor, rosemary, candy. It is implicated in liver damage in very high dosages. It is found in tiny quantities in marijuana. Pulegone is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. That is, it stops the action of the protein that destroys acetylcholine, which is used by the brain to store memories. - Sabinene - Found in oak trees, tea tree oil, black pepper and is a major constituent of carrot seed oil. - Terpineol- floral, lilac, citrus, apple/orange blossoms, lime. Synthetic Cannabis alternatives: - Marinol, synthetic THC, contains no terpenes… hence little medical value - Sativex maintains a strict ratio of THC and CBD but also maintains a strict ratio of certain terpenes, yet the company doesn’t mention what the actual concentrations of terpenoids might be. Probably still not the same profile nor medicinal benefits as the whole cannabis plant.
Try at home! - Inhale the herbal aromas prior to consumption. Break up the bud, releasing volatile terpenes and INHALE deeply through your nose. This is the classic Turismo Associati, basic solitaire game that many of you already know and love. In this game you must move all the cards to the foundation piles at the top. Each foundation pile must start with an Ace and the other cards are placed in ascending order on the appropriate matching suit. To deal more cards, turn the deck over in the top left. Groups of cards can be moved between the columns of cards in the layout. They must be placed in descending order and with alternating colors (e.g. Red Jack, Black 10, Red 9, Black 8). Only a group of cards beginning with a King can placed on an empty pile in the game area in the bottom half of the screen.
Ceapa de toamna se planteaza din arpagic in octombrie si noiembrie, pentru ca primavara devreme sa avem ceapa verde in gradina. Daca ati sarit peste aceasta etapa, insamantarea de toamna, nu disperati. Anul trecut eu nu am plantat doar primavara devreme, odata cu ridichile si s-a facut un pic mai tarziu, dar s-a facut. Anul acesta am pus si acum, toamna, si voi planta si primavara, ceapa care sa ma tina toata vara si sa pun putina la pastrare si pentru iarna. Iar ca sa aveti ceapa verde toata vara, o data la 2-3 saptamani puteti sa mai plantati 20-30 de fire de ceapa. Daca o consumati verde, bine, daca nu, o lasati in pamant si ea se va dezvolta si o veti scoate din pamant toamna. Eu am plantat arpagicul acum o saptamana. Sper sa se faca pana la Paste, care la anul va fi, am impresia, pe 15 aprilie. Am procedat asa.
Mai intai am ales arpagicul sanatos si am aruncat pe cel care era un pic moale sau fara foi.Am curatat, sapat si greblat bine pamantul unde urma sa plantez si apoi, cu o ata, am trasat o linie dreapta. Am facut apoi cu sapa, pe langa aceasta linie, un santulet adanc de 8-10 cm. (ceapa de toamna se planteaza la o adancime mai mare fata de cea de primavara, ca sa nu inghete).
Am luat apoi arpagicul si l-am infipt usor in pamant, la o distanta unul de altul de 5-6 cm. Am masurat apoi cu o ruleta o distanta intre primul rand si urmatorul de aproximativ 20 cm, am mutat ata si am acoperit cu pamant primul rand de ceapa. Am mai facut apoi un santulet, la fel ca prima data si am procedat in continuare la fel.
Am folosit, pentru a nu batatori cu picioarele pamantul, o scandura de lemn, pe care am tot mutat-o pe pamant. Am pus astfel 5 randuri de ceapa, cam 200 de fire, mult prea mult pentru familia mea, insa am spus ca poate se mai strica din ea daca o fi o iarna grea. Daca va fi prea multa, o impart si eu la cunoscuti. Daca aveti compost facut din timp, puteti sa puneti deasupra, peste pamant, o paturica de cativa centimentri, pe care primavara, cand dispare pericolul inghetului, sa o inlaturati cu o grebla. Eu nu am pus nimic, doar am plantat arpagicul la adancime mai mare decat o fac primavara.
Important! Ceapa nu trebuie sa se cultive pe acelasi sol decat o data la 3-4 ani. Cel mai bine creste in locul unde au fost urmatoarele culturi in anii precedenti: mazare, fasole, tomate. Aceeasi regula este valabila si pentru usturoi.

Am cumparat usturoi romanesc, din piata de la tarani, deoarece primavara trecuta am incercat si cu cel chinezesc (acela frumos, care se vinde ambalat in plasa), insa nu a crescut bine.
Si cel romanesc nu prea m-a satisfacut vara trecuta, a crescut sanatos, e adevarat, dar foarte marunt. A fost bun pentru consumat verde, insa pentru pastrat iarna e cam mic.
Am facut o mica paranteza si sa ne intoarcem la cum am plantat usturoiul.
Am desfacut capatanile de usturoi in catei. Trebuie pastrati doar cateii sanatosi, cei un pic moi sau fara coaja nu se folosesc. Pamantul l-am sapat si greblat bine. Cu ajutorul unei ate am trasat cu sapa un santulet drept si adanc de 6-7 cm pentru plantarea de toamna (pentru insamantarea de primavara se face mai putin adanc (3-4 cm), insa acum in felul acesta ii ferim de inghet), in care am infipt, cu varful in sus, cateii de usturoi la o distanta de 5-6 cm unul de altul.
Apoi am mutat ata la o distanta de aproximativ 20 cm de primul rand. Am acoperit primii usturoi cu pamant si am procedat in acelasi mod si cu urmatoarele randuri. Pentru a nu batatori pamantul cu picioarele, am folosit o scandura.
Important! Usturoiul nu trebuie sa se cultive pe acelasi sol decat o data la 3-4 ani. Cel mai bine creste in locul unde au fost urmatoarele culturi in anii precedenti: mazare, fasole, tomate. Aceeasi regula este valabila si pentru ceapa.
