Zeitgeist Day 2015 is now upon us. This will be the 7th annual event since the first official "Zday" in 2009, as covered by the New York Times. For those new to TZM, Zeitgeist Day is our flagship, global awareness event, performed by both official chapters and supporting groups across the world.
 
Apart from our always full capacity "main event", which will take place in Berlin, Germany for 2015, each chapter is encouraged to hold a local event of their own in solidarity. In this simple gesture, no matter how large or small your gathering, we educate, bridge and unify the world toward the common goals of ecological sustainability, increased public health and social stability.

As of early 2015, we have seen a dramatic validation of all issues (positive and negative) The Zeitgeist Movement has been pleading for in awareness and intelligent resolution, since its inception.
On the positive, our technological capacity to create global abundance through the exponential increase in dematerialization and automation has been staggering. We exist in a powerful new epoch of possibility where we can elevate humanity to a new social state of peace and stability, while restoring the habitat.
 
On the negative, we see a global stagnation of employment due fundamentally to the application of labor displacing technology. Likewise, we continue to endure rampant poverty and wage immobility. The global "class war" seems to be hitting epic proportions as it is now estimated that 1% will own half the world's wealth by 2016.

Personal and public debt levels continue to rise unbated, with this mechanism for "soft slavery" not only keeping the average person under false pressure to constantly "work" in an attempt to make ends meet - it has also created vast instances of imposed national austerity, which also only hurts the average people in all countries applied.
 
Furthermore, we continue to destroy biodiversity and overshoot resource use to keep our consumptions-based economy going. All life support systems remain in decline. As far as social relations, all one has to do is review the state of near constant social insurrection to feel the anger and tension building towards a climax we have not yet realized.

There is no time more important to be active if one cares about themselves, their family the next generation. The time is now. The only solution is to change the social system and that mission of TZM continues unabated.
