One of the most controversial statements John Lennon ever made, this was published in England's Evening Standard newspaper (4 March 1966) as part of an interview with writer Maureen Cleave. This single quote (taken out of context — Lennon was often misquoted as stating the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus") was to spark protests across the Bible Belt in America. Beatles records were burned en masse, and the Ku Klux Klan burned a Beatles effigy and nailed Beatles albums to a burning cross. The band members were dismissive of this, as they pointed out that first the people had to buy the albums in order to burn them.

Louis Szekely (born September 12, 1967), known professionally as Louis C.K. (and sometimes Louie C.K.), is an American stand-up comedian, Emmy-winning television and film writer, actor, producer and director from Boston, Massachusetts. He currently stars in the FX comedy series Louie, which he also writes, directs and edits.
His credits as a writer include Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Dana Carvey Show and the Chris Rock Show. His work for the Chris Rock Show was nominated for an Emmy Award three times, including winning "Best Writing in a Variety or Comedy Series" in 1999. J.D.andElliotstart to get closer to each other. While they're talking about their stressful work days, they start flirting, as if on a date. Elliot acts like she wants to kiss J.D, and he is not sure if she's joking or if he should really kiss her. He decides to go for it, but before he can,Dr. Coxenters the room and breaks the mood. NowJ.D.is under pressure to kiss Elliot since he only has 48 hours before they both start over-thinking things, she gets too invested of the idea of him as a friend and he gets stuck in "the friend zone."
Elsewhere,TurkandCarlahave begun dating. Turk gets to close on apatient-Mr. Bidwell- for the first time, while Elliot gets in trouble again when she confrontsDr. Kelsobecause he has called her "sweetheart" duringroundsand she thinks it's sexist. Later, Mr. Bidwell's condition worsens and J.D. fears that Turk has forgotten something inside of him during surgery. It turns out that J.D. had given Bidwell insulin although he was diabetic. Turk realizes this before J.D. and helps him out.
Only then does J.D. remembers that he's got just 30 seconds left to kiss Elliot. He almost gets to her in time, but he just misses the deadline--and when he wants to kiss her, she just wants to talk. J.D. is disappointed and in his imagination he is now stuck in the "Friend Zone".

Today's ancient offering is about history, science, voyeurism and religion. Here in NYC, people regularlyspy on each otherwith binoculars and telescopes. It's just a given when so many of us live so closely together in high-rise buildings. You get used to it and don't think anything about it after a while. When I first came to NYC,my future wife, CHNW, used to routinely walk around her apartment at night in various stages of undress. I asked her why she didn't close her blinds and she said, quite innocently, "What's the point? The only thing across the street isa rectory full of priests." (Not to be confused with a rectum full...)
I shudder to think how manycrises of faithshe instigated as those poor souls struggled to maintain their commitment to celibacy. Except for the gay orpedophileones, of course.
